Meet and Greet With Coco
Saturday, March 2nd
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Howlin' Hounds Coffee
712 South 16th Street
Omaha, Nebraska 68106
A signature drink has been created to toast Coco and will be for sale at the event with proceeds going to the Ashland Dog Pound Foundation
A dog found wandering in Ashland with several tumors had surgery to remove them thanks to donations from the community. Now, Coco is recovered enough to meet some of those who supported her.
Channel Six was there as Coco was reunited with her foster mom, Misty Carter after surgery at the end of January. Coco’s surgery was originally quoted to be $3,000, but then the community came together. Many people donated and another vet performed the surgery at a lower cost.
Veterinarian Mike Hord with Val Verde Animal Hospital in La Vista removed seven tumors. He is expecting Coco to make a full recovery.
Carter would like to thank everyone involved “No words can ever explain how it feels. She’s been so amazing through all of it and she finally got what she deserved from the very beginning.”
A meet and greet event will be held Saturday in Omaha.
