The Nebraska State Patrol has identified the woman who was killed in a weekend motorcycle crash near Gretna.
An investigator also disputed an earlier account from an eyewitness about the crash Sunday near Interstate 80 and Highway 31.
The State Patrol says 34-year-old Barbara Truitt of Norwalk, Iowa died of her injuries. Kyle Cihal of Omaha was driving the motorcycle. The 31-year-old was listed in serious condition at the Nebraska Medical Center Tuesday.
The State Patrol says a car was southbound on Highway 31 and wanted to get onto Interstate 80. However, when he turned he saw a “Do Not Enter” sign and stopped. At that moment, Cihal was traveling northbound and crashed into the car.
A crash reconstruction team continued to investigate the crash. No citations had been issued as of Tuesday evening.
