To help prevent identity theft, American National Bank will once again be offering an on-site shredding event at the 90th and Dodge location in Omaha from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 18th.
This will be the fourth year the bank has teamed up with Paper Tiger, an on-site shredding and recycling company, to offer the service at no charge to the public. Donations will be collected to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Identity theft continues to be one of the fastest-growing forms of consumer fraud and this event highlights the importance of protecting members of the community.
Paper documents such as cancelled checks, bills and bank statements, as well as electronic media such as CDs, will be safely and securely destroyed on the spot.
