Hundreds of people are spreading out to volunteer on projects across the metro today as a part of the 2012 United Way Campaign.
The “Days of Caring” are today and tomorrow. We caught up with some volunteers from First National Bank who were helping out at the Charles E Lakin Human Services Campus in Council Bluffs Iowa.
“The bank encourages employees to volunteer throughout the year specifically to support the United Way and we contacted the United Way and they support their Lakin campus and all their services here and we wanted to volunteer for the day," Volunteer Marc Butterfield said.
First National Bank had more than 100 volunteers in the United Way Days of Caring. Volunteers did everything from landscaping to hosting a back to school party for children.
