The latest numbers released Friday show Nebraska still has the second lowest unemployment rate in the nation.
With 3.9 percent out of work, only North Dakota had a lower unemployment rate in September.
Iowa's jobless rate improved to 5.2 percent, down from 5.5 percent in August.
The national rate is 7.8 percent, down from 8.1 percent in August.
