Council Bluffs police say they know more about a two-car crash early Friday morning. It was a strange scene when it comes to accidents. A man’s car ended up upside down after crashing into a parked car. The man fled the scene on foot.
Police responded to the scene just after midnight near 6th Avenue and South 12th Street. The driver, identified as 24-year old Rene Narciso-Ventrua, showed up at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs with serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was then transferred to Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
Police say blood alcohol tests are pending. For now, Narciso-Ventrua faces charges of driving without a license, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to control his vehicle.
