Update: Rodriguez Bond Set At $2 Million

Bond for an Omaha man charged with killing two people in a crash at 42nd and H Sunday night was set at $2 million on Wednesday.

Police say 27-year-old Victor Rodriguez was driving south on 42nd Street when he lost control of his Nissan Pathfinder and hit a GMC Yukon head-on.

The passenger in his vehicle, 24-year-old Manuel Santos-Gomez,was killed.

There were five people in the Yukon. The passenger, 22-year-old Danny Alcantara, died from his injuries. The other four people in the vehicle were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

After the crash, Rodriguez ran. Police found him at his home a little later. He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center to be treated for injuries he suffered in the crash. Police say once he's released, he'll be taken into custody and charged with two counts of criminal homicide.

Rodriguez is still hospitalized, but is set to appear in court Friday at 9 a.m.
