Omaha police have identified the woman hit and killed by a semi tractor trailer truck in South Omaha.
Tuesday afternoon police identified her as 62-year-old Bonnie Lebbs, of Omaha.
On Friday, August 2nd, Lebbs was hit by a Kenworth semi and trailer at the corner of 36th Street and Ed Babe Gomez Avenue.
The driver of the semi told police he came to a stop at the intersection and waited for traffic to clear before turning right. Witnesses flagged him down when they noticed a woman underneath the rear wheels of the trailer. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
At the time of the crash neighbors told Channel 6 they knew Lebbs, but it apparently took some time for police to notify her next-of-kin.
