The Lancaster County Attorney’s Office has declined to proceed with the case against two people from Omaha who were arrested for allegedly robbing a man over the weekend.
Charges have been dropped against 26-year old Devin Ashford and 22-year old Tiffany Baier.
One can only imagine that a man was hoping for a nice evening out when he sought an escort Saturday night. Instead, according to Lincoln Police, the man ended up being robbed in a hotel parking lot.
Police say the man went to a room to meet an escort at the Microtel Hotel near 25th & Fairfield. The two discussed a fee arrangement. The man left after determining he would be charged too much.
He tells police that once he was in the parking lot, 26-year-old Devin L. Ashford of Omaha assaulted him and stole money from his coat pocket.
The victim called police who contacted Ashford and 22-year-old Tiffany Baier of Omaha in the hotel room. Both were arrested for robbery.
