School officials in Omaha are opening a photography exhibit about the Holocaust.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha will hold an opening reception Thursday evening for, "Future, Beware." It will feature work by photographer Ophir Palmon of Omaha, who took images in 2010 of a program that brings students to Poland to study the history of the Holocaust.
Palmon's exhibit aims to document how young people today understand the Holocaust. The project resulted in a book, which has been expanded to the exhibit. The school's history department will sponsor three events to coincide with the exhibit, including a discussion on Auschwitz.
The exhibit will be on display in the H. Don and Connie J. Osborne Family Gallery on campus.
