The student flying team from the University of Nebraska at Omaha has earned the right to compete at next spring's national meet in Ohio.
The UNO team took second at the recent regional competition to win a spot at next May's National Intercollegiate Flying Association meet.
The competitions include events such as landing on a short runway, dropping a message on a target and navigation.
At the regional meet, the UNO team took first overall in the flight competition and recorded six top-three finishes in four individual events.
UNO Aviation Institute Director Scott Vlasek says he's proud of the way the team pulled together at regionals.
