October events sponsored by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Water Center will focus on Nebraska water law and Great Plains climate, water and ecosystems.
The annual Water Law Conference is set for October 12 at Lincoln's downtown Holiday Inn. It will be followed on October 13 by a symposium
titled "Climate, Water and Ecosystems -- Shaping the Great Plains."
UNL Water Center assistant director Lorrie Benson says a discounted registration fee is available for attending both events.
The law conference is for attorneys but is open to anyone.
The symposium includes a presentation on the regional implications of global climate change and a session on watershed management.
