A University of Nebraska-Lincoln professor has made a donation to the university to make sure grain research work continues.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln crop researcher Stephen Baenziger
recently made what officials called a "major gift" recently, but
the amount was not disclosed.
Officials say the Nebraska Small Grains Fund will generate
income every year that will be used to support research of small
grains like wheat and barley. The fund may also support
scholarships, research stipends and equipment purchases.
Baenziger says he's glad to be able to give back to the
university and encourage future grain research.
Ronnie Green is the University of Nebraska's vice president for
agriculture and natural resources. Green says he's grateful for
Baenziger's support and selfless contributions.
