A 53-year-old former music program office worker has been accused of stealing from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Jane Jameson of Amherst, Nebraska is accused of taking more than $59,000 from the university and the Kearney Area Symphony. She's charged with two counts of felony theft, one of unauthorized use of a credit card and one of forgery in connection with the thefts that occurred between February 2011 and February 2014.
The university began looking into Jameson's charges after it noticed some items Jameson bought seemed to be have a wedding theme. Officials knew she was planning a ceremony for her son.
