Authorities say officers chased two men in a stolen vehicle for 150 miles along Interstate 80 before the
men were caught and arrested near Sutherland in western Nebraska.
Buffalo County authorities say the two robbed a convenience store in Alda around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
The men then headed west on the interstate. Nebraska state troopers soon joined the chase in
which speeds sometimes approached 120 mph.
The men left the interstate at a rest area near Sutherland. The Nebraska State Patrol says the men were arrested there with more than $1,800 cash in their vehicle.
They were identified as 24-year-old Jared Rye, of Plattsmouth, and 22-year-old Markus Crom, of Bellevue.
Both men remained in custody on Monday. Case records don't list their attorneys' names.
