When 17-year-old Devina Johnson was murdered last summer there was an outpouring of grief from her classmates at Benson High School. Her murder went unsolved until Friday when police announced the arrests of two men.
Johnson, a single mother of a 2-year-old daughter, was sitting in a car last August 27. It was a Saturday afternoon and the sun was shining when someone walked up to her car and opened fire.
On Friday, Omaha police investigators arrested 18-year-old Tracey Wooten and 21-year-old Tristian Rodriguez-Shelly for the crime. Both were booked for first degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Rodriguez-Shelly was also booked for possessing a weapon by a prohibited person.
