Two Omaha men are charged with shooting off a shotgun several times.
According to an Omaha Police spokesman, officers were called to the area of 35th and Jones Street just after two Monday morning to investigate shots being fired.
Officers arrived and heard additional shots. They saw two men running with a shotgun toward an apartment building near 35th & Jones Street. Officers were able to stop the suspects and secure the shotgun.
Twenty-one-year-old Dennis V. Hill and 38-year-old Desshamett M. Hill were charged with illegal discharge of a firearm. The elder Hill was also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
Both suspects were booked at the Douglas County Department of Corrections. No victims or property damage was located.
