According to the Washington County Sheriff's Department, the driver of the red car crossed the center line and slammed into the semi, head-on. The impact of the crash caused the semi to end up in a field.
The semi driver was not seriously injured; he was treated at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital in critical condition. His name has not yet been released.
