Northwest Omaha businesses are put on alert after a pair of convenience stores are held up overnight.

At 11:50 Monday night, police responded to a report of a holdup at Bucky's near 72nd & Maple. Dispatchers said two men held up the gas station, and at least one of them had a gun.

It's believed they're the same suspects who held up the Kum & Go near 83rd & Maple just minutes earlier. In both robberies, the men got away with cash and tobacco products.

The two were last seen in a white Pontiac Grand Prix heading west on Maple Street. The Omaha police helicopter was called in to help officers search for the suspects, but no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call Omaha Police at 402-444-7867.
