Traffic lights are going in at two separate intersections in Sarpy County. This comes nearly a year after two teens were killed at each one.
Drivers will now notice a stoplight at Hwy 370 and 180th in Sarpy County. However, it hasn't been activated yet.
Beth LaFave's son, Nate, died at the intersection last October in a car crash. Beth says the change is coming too late.
“No one wanted to step up and do what was right for the safety of the patrons out there," said Beth. "No one wanted to spend the money and my son paid the ultimate price for that.”
Another stoplight will be going in at 204th and Harrison, which is where Dylan Krula died in a crash. Crews say the poles will go up on Thursday.
