Two suspects wanted for the armed robbery of a Millard convenience store were quickly arrested Thursday night.
A man pointed a gun at the clerk of the Kum & Go near South 189th and Q streets just after 11:30 p.m. and fled to a waiting car with someone inside.
A Douglas County Sheriff's Department deputy responding to the scene spotted the car eastbound on Q near 168th Street. The deputy attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver didn't immediately stop. It did stop near 161st and W where the two suspects were taken into custody. A loaded gun and plastic Kum & Go bag containing cash were recovered.
Twenty-three-year-old Duol Ruot was booked on suspicion of robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and operating a vehicle to avoid arrest. The second suspect is a juvenile whose name is not being released.
