Two teens were hospitalized with serious injuries following an accident in Omaha Saturday night.
Police say 18-year-old Yaslene Lopez of Omaha was driving recklessly on northbound South 8th Street when she lost control and went off the road at Castelar Street just after 11 p.m. The car struck a wooden pole and chain-link fence.
Both Lopez and her passenger, 18-year-old Tristan Bockman of Bellevue, were taken to Alegent Creighton University Medical Center for head injuries.
Police say speed was a factor in the crash. Lopez will be cited for reckless driving.
