A two-vehicle crash sent both drivers to the hospital first thing Monday morning.
The crash happened on the Loveland Overpass, just south of Missouri Valley, around 4:45 a.m.
According to a sheriff's deputy at the scene, a car was either stopped or slowing down to avoid hitting an animal, when it was hit from behind by a pickup truck. The car spun into the bridge wall.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital via helicopter; however, the deputy did not believe the driver's injuries were life threatening. The pickup driver was also taken to the hospital.
Neither driver has been identified.
