A police chase in Bellevue and Omaha ended with a crash that hurt two people Monday night.
A Nissan sedan allegedly fled from Bellevue Police during a traffic stop. Officers began a pursuit, but called it off as it stretched into Omaha around 11:30 p.m. A minute later, the suspect vehicle slammed into two parked cars near 36th and Madison.
The male driver of the vehicle was taken to the Alegent Creighton Medical Center in potentially critical condition. A female passenger was also taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The two parked cars were unoccupied. Police have not said if the parties involved will face any criminal charges.
