Two people suffered potentially critical injuries after two vehicles collided head-on near 30th and Kansas Avenue Monday night.
Just before 11:30 p.m., a white chevy Suburban driven by 32-year-old Derrius Epperson and a white Dodge Avenger driven by 23-year-old Deion McGraw collided. The two people injured were pinned, and once they were freed they were taken to the Alegent Creighton Medical Center for treatment. Their injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening.
Omaha Police officers had to close off part of 30th street while they processed the scene overnight. It was determined Epperson was driving under the influence and crossed the center line. He was cited for both violations.
