Omaha police arrested two men on gun charges after a routine traffic stop.
On Nov. 4th, officers conducted a traffic stop at 39 & “H” Street on a vehicle with expired plates. Officers immediately smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana.
Police recovered a small baggie of marijuana and a loaded handgun during the incident.
Twenty-one-year-old Alexander Centena and an 18-year-old male were booked into Douglas County Corrections for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of an unregistered firearm.
Centena was also charged with possession of marijuana less than 1 oz and possession of drug equipment.
The 18-year-old was cited for no valid registration and Driving Under Suspension
