Three boys were arrested early Sunday morning for the attempted robbery of the Burger King near 72nd Street and Sorensen Parkway in Omaha.
Police were called the scene just after 12:30 a.m. to investigate suspicious activities involving several juveniles. The police helicopter arrived and the crew observed three suspects running east from the area. All three were apprehended by officers on the ground.
Investigators determined the three juveniles approached the drive-thru window, pulled what may have been a pellet gun and demanded food. The restaurant worker refused to give them anything and the boys ran off.
A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy were booked into the Douglas County Youth Center for attempted robbery. A 12-year-old boy was booked as an accessory to a felony.
