It's October, and not only are leaves falling but temperatures are too.
So far this October, Omaha has seen overnight lows plunging down to the freezing mark on two separate occasions --- during the early morning hours of October 19th and also on the morning of October 21st.
To see temperatures tumble to 32° earlier this month was almost right on cue as statistics show that the date of our average first frost is usually between October 11th-20th.
This Wednesday morning will again feature temperatures plummeting to near 32 degrees. However we still have yet to see a hard freeze across the Heartland, but that, too, may be about to change as the forecast calls for morning lows to dip into the mid and upper 20's by Friday morning.
