Tulip Named After Warren Buffett

In honor of investor and philanthropist Warren Buffett two Dutch journalists /financial experts have named a tulip after him: the Warren Buffett a.k.a The Wild Warren.

Thousands of these tulips are currently blossoming on meadows in the Northern part of Holland.

The Wild Warren is especially developed, grown and registered for Mr. Buffett, not only to honor his exquisite financial insight but also for his outstanding philantropical work.

The Wild Warren is a red, strong, double leaved, elegant and powerful tulip. See the attached photographs for a detailed look of the tulip.

Financial experts Marlies Ruijter and Audrey Zonneveld have taken this initiative upon themselves because they started investing their savings with Buffetts principles in mind.

They are currently writing a book about their experiences which will be published at the end of August this year.

Since they are such avid followers of Mr. Buffett they will also attend Berkshire Hathaway’s annual share holders meeting, held on Saturday May 5th. in Omaha, Nebraska.

Grower Sam Ruijter, managing director of Ruijter Flower Bulbs Inc.: “At this moment we are multiplying the tulip on the fields. It is a strong and beautiful flower and I am expecting a lot from this tulip.”
