A traffic stop for failure to signal led a Nebraska State Patrol trooper to seize nearly 325 lbs of marijuana.
Just after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2000 Ford pickup for failure to signal at the Bradshaw Interchange on Interstate 80.
The trooper was given consent to search the vehicle. The search led to the seizure of 324.6 lbs of marijuana. The marijuana was located in a false compartment inside a wooden tool box in the bed of the pickup.
The driver of the vehicle, Alvin J. Sias, 29, Henderson, NV and a passenger in the vehicle, Chad A. Baillargeon, 37, Las Vegas, NV were both lodged in the York County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
