A Beatrice woman accused of stealing nearly $114,000 from a co-op where she worked has pleaded not guilty.

50-year-old Jodi Dewey made her plea Thursday to charges of theft
and unauthorized use of a financial transaction device.

The judge set a trial date of April 24.

Earlier this year, Farmers Co/op/Cenex reported about $114,000 in financial discrepancies, prompting an investigation. Authorities say Dewey was found to have made inappropriate charges to company accounts and made unauthorized write-offs to employee and customer accounts, among other things.

Dewey had been the officer manager for the co-op
