Kids at Tri-Center Elementary are showing their support for "Miss Lorie," a cook/custodian who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Lorie Anderson has been with the Neola, Iowa school for 25 years.
Tuesday, the entire student body and staff members wore black and purple t-shirts to show they're behind her. The shirt's message: “Tri-Center Attacks Cancer”.
A benefit dinner for Anderson is set for Tuesday night, served by the Neola Lion’s Club at 5:30. A bake sale and raffle is being held throughout the evening.
