The storm that whipped through the southern part of the metro left many property owners with tree and limb clean-up. Papillion is helping its resident in two ways.
The city is providing a tree limb collection area at 96th and Portal Drive on Papillion's west end. A steady stream of pickups pulled in with limbs all day Monday.
One property owner said, “It’s great to have someplace close.” Another said, “That’s our tax money at work.”
Papillion public works is also helping those who don’t have the equipment by sending out public works crews through neighborhoods.
Workers with saws are cutting up branches and city trucks will haul them away if the homeowner can’t do it. The service will continue through the week.
