The Pottawattamie County Conservation invites the public to join in the celebrations of the 21st annual Maple Tree Tapping next month.

Participants can drill their own taps in the park’s silver maple trees and learn how the process of making real maple syrup begins. Then learn how the sap is boiled into syrup and could have a chance to taste it straight out of the tree, or taste the finished product with a sample of authentic maple candy.
