Traffic Control at Air Show

The Nebraska State Patrol Troop A Headquarters-Omaha will help provide traffic control for the upcoming “Defenders of Freedom Open House and Air Show” at Offutt Air Force Base, Bellevue, Saturday-Sunday, August 25-26.

The Nebraska State Patrol will assist with traffic control at Capehart Road, the main spectator entrance to Offutt Air Force Base. Motorists attending the Air Show should follow the directions provided on electronic message boards when traveling to and around the Air Base.

The gates will open at 9:00 a.m., each day with events expected to wrap up by 4:00 p.m.

“This is always a well attended event,” said Captain Bret Friesz, Troop A Commander. “The possibility of heavy traffic could lead to some congestion and potential delays as spectators near the Air Base. We would encourage everyone to give themselves plenty of time to get to the show.”

Spectators not attending the Air Show are reminded that stopping or parking on the shoulder of Highway 75 or Highway 370 is not permitted.
