Southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri until 4 a.m. Sunday. This includes Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln.
A weak weather system is producing light snow immediately west of the Omaha Friday morning. As the system collides with drier air closer to the Missouri River snow will have a harder time falling.
Light snow will continue to overspread the area this morning with light accumulations possible. Overall, there is a 60 percent chance of snow this morning. Morning snow will gradually taper off leaving us with cloudy skies and highs in the upper 30s this afternoon.
Amounts west of a line from West Point to Elkhorn to Springfield to Nebraska City could range from one to two inches. Areas east of that line will only see an inch or less. Not everyone will see snow from this system, but areas that do get a light coating will likely see icy spots on area roadways.
