Titan Hill Intermediate School in Council Bluffs was locked down Monday afternoon when a teacher noticed a boy who appeared to have a gun.
Officers quickly set up a perimeter and managed to find the boy. Authorities say he was playing army with an airsoft gun.
Parents we spoke with were upset.
Katrina Hammermeister, the mother of one of the students, said, "I'm like still shaken. I'm still scared about it. I just want to get up there and get my kids."
Gaylene Wohlers, another mom, said it was, “pretty bad, pretty bad. With all the crazy things going on at schools today, it is. It's scary."
Police say the boy was cooperative. He attends another school that didn’t have classes on Monday.
No tickets were issued. No one was in any danger.
