The 2011 Nebraska Passport program highlights destinations
across the state.
Travelers are encouraged to pick up a souvenir passport at one of 33 participating locations and collect stamps from each location visited to win prizes ranging from T-shirts to gift cards and an Apple iPad.
Included in this year's passport promotion highlights - which build on last year's 27 stops - are the Sheldon Museum of Art in Lincoln, the Wildcat Hills Nature Center in Gering, and the Homestead National Monument in Beatrice.
Heineman's office says the tourism and travel industry generates
more than $3 billion a year for the state and accounted for more
than 45,000 jobs statewide in 2009.
