A 50-year-old man convicted of attacking four employees at a Topeka TV station has to pay restitution in the case.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that Shawnee County District Court Judge Evelyn Wilson ordered Ray Anthony Miles on Wednesday to pay more than $4,500 to the station and an insurance company.
Miles was sentenced April 24 to eight years and four months for felony battery and other charges after he attacked four employees of WIBW-TV last May.
Miles broke into the station and assaulted the employees because he said they refused to report on a problem he was having with the Department of Veterans Affairs. He stabbed, kicked, bit and punched the employees before they were able to subdue him.
