“The students really wanted to create a unique and exciting event to raise awareness and support of TOMS and their mission,” said Becky Chabot, director of Campus Ministry and the group’s sponsor. “This concert is a fun way to reach out to the community and help spread the word about TOMS while enjoying some great music.”
The concert is scheduled for Thursday, March 24, at 8 p.m. at the Slowdown, 729 N. 14th Street, with doors opening at 7 p.m.
The featured performers, Fools & Horses, hail from Baltimore, Md., and were named “Best Modern Rock Band” in the Washington Area Music Awards.
Opening act will be the band, In Love.
