The detective investigating the incident says charges are not likely to be filed against the parents.
The 911 call was placed around 8:30 p.m. from the area of 5th Avenue and Park Avenue.
Police say Aliyah Polascik was leaning up against the screen on an open window when it popped loose and she fell about ten feet landing on her back.
She was in and out of consciousness overnight, but her condition has improved and is reportedly stable. The girl is being treated at the Nebraska Medical Center.
Her great uncle told Channel 6 News the child is expected to be okay. He and her parents have declined further comment.
