We were barely three hours into 2014 when a burglar decided to break into a Bellevue Tobacco Hut. The crime was caught on a surveillance camera and it’s a Sarpy County Crimestoppers Alert.
Just after 3 a.m. Wednesday the man tried to break into the front door of the Tobacco Hut at 40th and Harrison.
After that didn’t work, he broke through the drive-through window instead, made a quick grab for whatever he could get and left.
He made off with approximately $150 worth of merchandise but he did roughly $900 worth of damage.
Police say the robber was wearing jeans, a zip-up hoodie and red gloves.
