Tire blowout causes accident. The Cassgram reports Cass County Sheriff William C. Brueggemann advised that at 12:26 pm on Thursday, deputies along with Weeping Water Fire, Manley Fire, Avoca Fire and Elmwood Rescue responded to a one vehicle accident on Hwy 34 west of 156th Street.
The driver Harold J. Pollard, 85, Nehawka was driving a 98 Mercury Tracer eastbound on Highway 34 when the left front tire blew out. Pollard’s vehicle crossed the westbound lane and went in to the ditch, rolling twice and landing on it wheels. Pollard was transported to the hospital for minor injuries to his arm. Seat belts were in use.
