A man linked to a long string of tire and wheel thefts in the metro is heading to prison. A judge has sentenced Thomas Leuck to 24 to 36 years.
Leuck won’t be eligible for parole for 15 years.
He eluded authorities for months, frustrating vehicle owners, until the law caught up with him in the summer of 2013. He was suspected in 80 thefts.
Leuck pleaded no contest to charges linked to the thefts as well as weapons charges. A rifle was found in his home near his 4-month-old baby.
