Time Equals More Money From Lincoln Parking Meters

Lincoln's parking service is replacing 350 of its 60-minute parking meters with 90-minute meters.

The city expects that will raise parking revenue by almost $10,000 a month, in part because the longer time spans will attract more motorists to park at the 90-minute meters.

The city says parking revenue rose by about $6,000 when the city installed some 60-minute meters to replace some with a maximum limit of 30 minutes.
