Tree limbs on wires were blamed for causing most of the power outages in the metro Thursday morning.
OPPD reported as many as 3,500 customers were without power. That number fell to 160 by afternoon, most in Douglas and Sarpy counties.
The circuit impacting the larger number of customers was brought back online at 10:30 a.m. The cause was determined to be a tree limb falling on wires at South 42nd and Harrison. Another outage blamed on a tree limb on wires was at South 45th Harrison.
