At least three tornadoes have been confirmed in the storm outbreak that affected Nebraska over the weekend.
The National Weather Service office in Hastings said small tornadoes touched down Saturday northeast of Oxford in Harlan County, west of Byron in Nuckolls County and east of Deshler in Thayer County. There was little to no damage from twisters, which had wind speeds estimated at 65 mph.
Unconfirmed tornadoes have been reported near Cook and North Platte. Those areas sustained damage to farm outbuildings and trees.
Survey crews were expected to continue surveying damage and reports of possible tornadoes into Monday.
