Three teenagers were injured in a rollover accident Saturday night.
The Nebraska State Patrol says the driver, 18-year-old Casey Charf of Omaha, lost control on 276th Street near Bennington Road north of Valley just before midnight. The car went off the road and continued along the guardrail, then plunged down a 15-foot embankment and into a culvert.
Charf was able to tell police she tried to avoid hitting something in the road, but lost control. She was taken by medical helicopter to Creighton University Medical Center in critical condition.
An unnamed 17-year-old girl riding in the front passenger seat was thrown from the car. She was not wearing a seat belt. The rear passenger, 19-year-old Connor Gourley of Omaha, was also not wearing a seat belt. Both were taken to the hospital by ambulance to be treated for injuries not considered to be life threatening.
