Three elementary school students were injured Friday morning when their school bus overturned about nine miles northwest of Leigh, Nebraska.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger said the bus from the Leigh School District fell about four feet into a creek bed around 8 a.m. Twenty students were on the bus at the time. Two girls, ages 8 and 9, were taken to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk with injuries not considered to be life threatening. A third student was treated for minor injuries at the school.
Unger said area residents helped transport the remaining students to school.
