Three Arrests Yield Two Guns

More guns are off the street following separate arrests made by Omaha police.

OPD said Saturday gang and probation officers paid a visit to a convicted felon Thursday afternoon who has a search/seizure clause as part of his probation order. During a search of the residence located near 156th and Dodge, a gun was found. Twenty-year-old Darrel Taylor was taken into custody.

Gang officers looking for a suspect Friday night found two suspects at South 29th and Mason, one with a gun and marijuana. Eighteen-year-old Francisco Diego was booked for obstructing an officer, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of an unregistered firearm, being a minor in possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana, less than one ounce. A 17-year-old boy was booked for obstructing an officer and two misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear.
